Solecare Podiatry provides advice and treatment for a wide range of foot and ankle concerns. From routine care — thickened nails, corns, callus and general foot maintenance — through to common foot and ankle problems. Our team brings over 44 years of combined professional experience to every appointment. You’ll find us at Shop 5, 104 Staveley Street, Avonhead, Christchurch. We aim to offer first-class care with clear, upfront fees: standard appointments from $79,ingrown toenail surgery from $290, and prefabricated orthotics individually adapted in-clinic from $125.We’re an independent, locally owned clinic with a strong focus on honest, practical treatment. New patients are always welcome and we’re happy to answer any questions before you book.
Orthotics for heel pain and plantar fasciitis and can be adapted and adjusted in house for your specific needs. Contact us for the prices of casted orthotics.
Our clinic also features a small shoe sales area with a good collection of ladies casual shoes, aimed at comfort and fit.
We also stock some deeper/wider shoes and several great options for work. Visit on a Monday or a Friday for a personal fitting service with a friendly podiatrist, who can assist with fitting and advice. There is ample parking by the roadside and in the angled shop parking.
* Please note: We currently do not offer liquid nitrogen therapy for veruccae or home visits.

About us
Meet the team
Anna and Mark qualified as Podiatrists from the University of Plymouth, UK; both with a Batchelor of Science (Hons) in Podiatry. A hands on degree with a focus on clinical experience and theory, ensuring competent and safe practice. As many podiatrists move away from offering traditional foot care, we pride ourselves in offering a comprehensive service.
Getting you moving again
Podiatrists treat a wide variety of foot and lower limb problems. This ranges from thickened or fungal toe nails, callus and corns, heel fissures, or ingrowing nails that need corrective minor surgery. Orthotic insoles can be fabricated to suit the need, with stretching or strengthening exercises, strapping and footwear advice other services that are available.
We accept electronic referrals from GP's and other healthcare providers for funded diabetic foot care. If you think you are eligible for funded care, please speak to your doctor or practice nurse in advance of an appointment. Please note that they will only be able to provide a referral if you meet the criteria for diabetic funded care , sadly not all diabetics are eligible for funded podiatry care. If you are transferring from another funded provider, please let us know well in advance of attending.
We are registered with ACC and can provide subsidised treatment for accident recovery (subject to approval) Our team are members of Podiatry New Zealand, the national professional body.
